Health Guarantee

Our commitment to you extends beyond the initial adoption with our comprehensive 1-year health guarantee, covering specific congenital defects and ensuring the well-being of your new feathered family member. Here’s what our health guarantee includes:

Covered Conditions:

  • Heart defects (scale 4 or above)
  • Congenital organ dysfunction resulting in death
  • Congenital defects causing death
  • Life-threatening congenital defects leading to death

Claim Process: In the unfortunate event of your parrot developing an untreatable life-threatening congenital defect or experiencing a premature death, we require the following documentation:

  • Initial veterinary exams indicating the congenital issue within 48 hours of diagnosis.
  • A detailed examination or autopsy report confirming the congenital nature of the issue.

Upon receipt of the required documents, our veterinarian will review the case to determine eligibility for a replacement parrot of the same sex, breed, and quality. Please note that shipping costs for the replacement parrot are the responsibility of the customer.

Exclusions:

  • Treatable or common disorders such as luxating patella, hernias, open fontanel, parasites, blood sugar, or skin issues are not covered.
  • Parasites or worms, though treated prior to travel, are not covered due to their common occurrence and potential reoccurrence based on environmental factors.

Vet Bill Reimbursement:

  • We provide coverage for vet bills incurred within the first 3 days (72 hours) post-arrival, up to $300 for treatment only, excluding specific examination and diagnostic fees. Proof of expenses must be submitted for reimbursement, with processing time of up to 6 weeks.

Contractual Obligations:

  • The health guarantee is contingent upon the signing and execution of the contract, which must be completed before or upon receipt of the parrot.
  • Failure to sign the contract within the stipulated timeframe renders the health guarantee void.

Limitations:

  • We do not cover vet bills or shipping costs for replacement parrots.
  • All claims must be submitted within the 1-year period, with congenital findings reported within 48 hours of diagnosis.
  • Naturally occurring changes such as eye color, coat color, or weight fluctuations are not covered under the guarantee.

At our facility, we prioritize the health and well-being of our parrots, and our health guarantee reflects our dedication to ensuring a positive adoption experience for you and your new companion.

How long does parrot live?

Generally speaking, the lifespan and quality of life of a parrot depend greatly on how it is cared for. Our parrots do not come from unethical breeding practices or mass breeding facilities. All our parrots come from reputable breeders who specialize in each species. Inbreeding or parrots from unethical breeding facilities can significantly impact their health and lifespan due to environmental factors and hereditary issues. Our parrots are expected to live as long as others of the same species when provided with proper care and attention.

Does parrot grow in size?

Yes. They are living animals and not a toy.

Although we estimate the size and weight of the parrots, it is by no means a guarantee. The way we estimate is based on the parents and the grandparents of the given parrot along with the current size and because of this, the parrot may end up smaller or bigger than what we estimated them to be. Exercise and diet will also affect the size and weight of the dog as in overfeeding the dog to be overweight.

Vets & estimates by the local vet

Please check out ‘About Us’ page for how closely each parrot is health monitored before all parrots are sent. All our parrots need to be approved for the travel before they can be booked for the flight. When you take our parrot to your local vet, they can be estimated to be much younger as the vets base the size and growth speed based on a typical parrot in the same breed. Since our parrots are much smaller in size, they have a slower growth rate. For example, the growth of permanent teeth, descending of the testicle or when the parrot goes into a heat cycle is often delayed. Our videos are posted when the parrot is 3 months of age, and it takes normally 4-6 weeks before the booking can be arranged which makes the parrot at around 4 months minimum before they can travel.
